Dr. Dan Hornickel

Founding Partner

Dr. Dan Hornickel is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He has 40 years of experience with all aspects of embryo collection, freezing and transfers. Dan manages the farm and crop enterprises at Sunshine Genetics as well.

Dan and his wife, Connie, have two daughters and three grandsons. They enjoy golf, biking and travel in their free time.

Dr. Chris Keim

Founding Partner

Dr. Chris Keim has 40 years of experience and has a DVM degree from the University of Illinois. His family roots in the Brown Swiss breed helped to make "Sun-Made" Genetics popular. Chris and Dan have bred many influential Brown Swiss and Holsteins.

Chris and his wife, Ann, have two daughters, a son, and four grandchildren. Chris and Ann enjoy golf, geneology, biking and travel.

Dr. Greg Schueller

IVF Program Manager

Dr. Greg Schueller grew up on a southwest Wisconsin dairy farm and is a 1991 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, he joined a well-known practice in Hazel Green, Wis., specializing in dairy herd health. He soon became proficient in reproductive ultrasound and embryo transfer. Greg joined Sunshine Genetics in 2009 and was soon doing oocyte aspiration. He manages the IVF program here, which has become a successful part of our clients' genetic programs. Greg and his wife Marcia have three busy daughters. Marcia is a speech therapist in the local school system. When he is away from the business, Greg and his family enjoy boating and water skiing.

Dr. Aaron Prososki


Dr. Aaron Prososki is a recent addition to the Sunshine Genetics veterinary team. He is a 2016 graduate of University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. He developed his ET and reproductive skills with his father, John, an experienced ET veterinarian near Wausau, WI.

Aaron's wife Bria attends the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Aaron likes to hunt and fish and to spend time with his two active dogs. He is also a student of Holstein genomics. Give him a call for advice with your mating decisions!

Jeff Boldt


Jeff Boldt lives on the farm and is one of two herdsman at Sunshine Genetics. Jeff oversees the farming operation and care of the donor herd. He and Kyle work closely together with part-time employees.

Jeff and his wife Brittany are both University of Illinois graduates. They have two young children, Caylah and Ryan. Jeff was also the breeder and exhibitor of the 2006 Brown Swiss Grand Champion at World Dairy Expo, Sunnyisle Colby Twilite-ET.

Stacey Henneman

Client Communications

Stacey Henneman has been in the Sunshine Genetics office since 1996. She is a U-W River Falls graduate. Much of her time is spent with client communications and the IVF program. Stacey is responsible for data entry and the drug and semen purchases. She has the ability to deal with many interuptions in her busy day and seems to "stay cool." Stacey and Karen work together and as one international client said, "get it right the first time!"

Stacey has a teenage daughter. They spend time together with Jaden's many activities. They also enjoy going on motorcycle rides.

Karen Marsh

Donor Coordination

Since 1989, Karen Marsh has been a familiar face in the Sunshine Genetics office. She is a graduate of U-W Madison. Karen works with individual drug protocols and coordinates the in-house and on-farm ET scheduling. She oversees the export work, health documents and accounts receivable. Karen and Stacey have become familiar with each other's roles since they work side-by-side in the business office daily.

Karen and her husband Mike enjoy going on motorcycle trips.
